Bob Ellis


Bob is a second career Pastor after having practiced law for many years.  He served as an assistant district attorney, district attorney, and as a lawyer in private practice.

He attended public schools in Rome, Georgia through his high school years. Bob attended college in Macon at Mercer University and went to law school at Walter F. George School of Law. He has lived in South Georgia since 1982.

Bob is married to Pam who grew up in Lowndes County and graduated from Lowndes High School.  Pam worked for many years as a legal secretary and as a court reporter.  She recently retired from many years of service with Judge Richard Cowart.

They have one son Kirk, who is married to Mendy Selph. Both Kirk and Mendy are Lowndes High Graduates. Bob and Pam have two grandchildren, Zack and Karsyn Darby.

Both Bob and Pam have actively participated in the Emmaus ministry.  Bob has served in the Kairos prison ministry and currently serves as president of the Camp Tygart Board of Directors.

Bob felt the Lord tugging on his heart for many years before becoming a minister, but he acted on the call to preach while a member of the Nashville United Methodist Church.
